Product Management

The Allied Product Management Team manages supplier relationships, determines what manufacturers and products we carry, and how those products are to be priced and marketed. They work with our Supply Chain team to make sure we have the appropriate inventory on hand, and with our sales team to make sure all of Allied's customers have a genuinely great experience.

Working in Product Management gives you the opportunity to touch every facet of Allied's business, from accounting to marketing to e-Commerce. We look for dynamic, energetic individuals who work well in a high pressure environment. So, if you like the challenge of being part of a fast-paced, demanding field, we'd like to hear from you.

  • Product Managers
Product Managers are the face of Allied to our sales team and our manufacturers. They are responsible for day-to-day management and support of their technologies, including portfolio selection, product life cycle management, pricing, and positioning. Product Managers analyze sales performance and work with our manufacturers to determine which products go into our portfolio and coordinate with our Content team regarding the way in which products are presented on our website. They also work with our Marketing and eCommerce teams to execute marketing plans.
  • Product Directors
There is one Product Director overseeing each Allied product area: Electrical, Test and Measurement, and Power; Automation and Control; and Interconnects, Passives, and Electromechanical. The role of Product Director is a critical position in enabling Allied to reach its established goals. The position focuses on leading the execution of agreed action plans with our partners, while maintaining service levels to our internal customers. The Product Director position is multi-disciplined, combining the skills of process management, project management, and technology/supplier merchandising. In addition, this role works together with Allied's parent company, Electrocomponents, to build one global offer for our customers.
  • Data Management Team (DMT)
The DMT, also called SAP Material Specialists, assists in the creation and maintenance of accurate, material records and in linking critical data to a master file. This essential process provides a common reference point that is shared among many people and departments.
