Overview
PIN Photodiodes DIL Package
This family of PIN photodiodes, from OSRAM Opto Semiconductor, are in DIL plastic packages. The BPW 34 family offer enhanced blue sensitivity from a radiant sensitive area of 2.73 x 2.73 mm2. These PIN photodiodes have a half angle of 60° and are available in both through-hole and surface mounted (SMD) options. The BPW 34 B and BPW 34 BS are designed for applications with a wavelength of 350 to 1100 nm. The BPX 48 series are designed for applications with a wavelength of 400 to 1100nm. The contain a double diode which enables a homogeneous acceptance. The BPX 48 also offer high photosensitivity. Suitable applications for the PIN photodiodes in DIL plastic packages include; photointerrupters, industrial electronics and control & drive circuits. The BPX 48 photodiodes can also be used for edge control, follow-up control and path/angle scanning.
